Easy Banoffee Pie Recipe

Ingredients

BASE: 100g butter 225g ginger nut biscuits

FILLING: 75g butter 75g dark soft sugar
397g tin condensed milk 3 bananas
300ml double cream 100g chocolate bar

20cm loose-bottomed cake or flan tin

Step 1 - Blitz the biscuits in a food processor or bash them to bits in a bag with a rolling pin. You decide :)

Step 2 - Melt the butter in a pan and mix together well with the crushed biscuits.

Step 3 - Press the mixture into the base and sides of the tin, and chill for 15 minutes in the fridge.

Step 4 - Put 75g butter and sugar into a non-stick saucepan over a low heat,
stirring all the time until the sugar has dissolved.

Step 5 - Add the condensed milk and bring to a fast boil for ONE minute, stirring all the time. Spread the caramel over the base, cool and then chill for 1 hour in the fridge.

Step 6 - Remove the pie from the tin and place on a serving plate. Slice the bananas and place on top of the caramel. Top with whipped cream and grated chocolate. Chill until ready to serve.
