Today I'll unleash your inner henna artist and have you drawing henna designs all over your friends and anyone else who will sit still. Once you've practice the basics for doing henna designs; lines, circles, dots and leaves then you can build into a bigger design. I'm gonna show you how to make a really basic flower kind of in the Indian style and it's using a lot of the skills that you should of already be practicing. So I like to just start a flower with a dot or a spiral in the middle and these designs just build from the center out. So I'm just gonna create a little scalloped edge around the little spiral that I made. And then I'm gonna start creating some petals. You can make your petals any shape you want. And just let your creativity flow. There's really no wrong way to do this. We're not drawing any particular flower. This is not a botany class. We're just drawing something that looks like a flower. So if you want your flower to have a little more shape and body to it you can you can do some shading. And usually what I do is I make sure the henna on the edges of the petals is a little bit thicker and I then just pull the henna down using tip of my tool. And this gives a kind of illusion of some shading. The other thing you can do is do it from the center of the flower out towards the edge of the petal and this will give your design a little bit more depth. So once you have your simple flower like this you can kind of build on it and start creating other things. You can add another layer around it just by creating a really simple outline like this. And then once your finished with the outline you can add another layer of scallops or some more petals or whatever you want. I'm just gonna do some little flower buds coming out on the edges here. And that is how you draw a really simple flower in the Indian style.
