Today I'll unleash your inner henna artist and have you drawing henna designs all over your friends and anyone else who will sit still. Once you have dye release and then you add essential oils to your paste. So this paste here has dye release so it's ready for essential oils. So I'm just going to put this fresh paste aside and we are going to work with this dye release paste. So essential oils are very important for use with henna because they contain turpines which are components or chemicals that are in the natural essential oils and they help the henna stain faster and also darker. So they are very good for getting a beautiful seen with your henna. I'd like to add about 10 drops of essential oils for every spoonful of paste. We have here maybe 2 tablespoons of paste so I would maybe add 20 drops of the essential oil. And you can use a lot of different essential oils that are high in turpines. I like to use the cardamom but you can also use tee tree, Cajaput, frankincense, ravensara certain kinds of eucalyptus globulin and the eucalyptus polybractea those are all excellent for use in henna and make sure you use essential oils not mixed with any kind of carrier oils. So once you add that in mix it up really well and your paste smells really yummy and is looking very beautiful and ready to go and that's how you make henna paste. Very simple.
