Opening a bottle of beer is all about leverage. You can open a bottle of beer with just about anything that you find in your house. Like this pen. Basically you just need a firm grip on your bottle. You're not actually pushing up on the bottle cap. You're pushing down on your finger with the pen and popping the lid upward. If you're lucky you can pop the cap from one point but usually it takes two. There's the initial pop and then there's the second to release the cap. Some bottles have a tighter crimp, like Hoegaarden, and they're much more difficult to open. Other bottles, like Coronas and Dos Equis, are much easier.
