If you're really serious about enjoying and appreciating beer, you have to also be serious about glass cleanliness. If a beer glass is dirty it's not going to support the head foam on top of the beer and it's not going to give you the aroma and also the flavor of the beer as the brewer intended. If there are bubbles along the sides of the glass that means that there is lint or dust on the glass. And if it's dirty you're welcome to ask the bartender for a clean, fresh glass.
