TRANSCRIPT
When people think of pairing food they often think of wine and not beer but beer can do just as well, if not better then wine, with many different types of foods. The intensity of the food should match the intensity of the beer. The clean, crisp flavor of most standard American beers, such as Bud, Miller, Coors, go really well with simple foods like cheese puffs or chips and dip. There should be complimentary flavors that you find in the beer, as well as in the dish. The sharpness of cheddar cheese marries up nicely with the crisp bitterness of a Czech style Pilsner and a chocolatey, malty beer would go really well with a chocolate cake. Another great way to pair beer is just use your instincts. You can have some of the beer and then think about what you'd like to eat with it and nine times out of ten, it's a dead on perfect pair.
