For women, so many of us store stress and trauma in our hips for many reasons. We live in a culture where we learn that our bodies are unacceptable, that they're too big, or that there's something that we need to hide or cover up. Hips are a feminine part of us, closest to our reproductive organs. So, our shame can actually get stored in that area. Emotions can get stuck, especially if it were sexualized at a young age or if we were the victim of assault. So, it's really important that we help move that sympathetic or that fightor-flight energy out of our body. So, I'm going to teach you a quick practice that you can do first thing in the morning or right before bed right in your living room.
