Princess Cake! How to Make a Sleeping Beauty OMBRE Layer Cake by Cupcake Addiction

Today I made an Ombre INSIDE Sleeping Beauty Princess Aurora cake to celebrate the Australian DVD/BluRay launch of the classic Disney Sleeping Beauty movie.

Tools & Equipment:
Metal bowl
8" cake tin lined with baking paper (I use 2)
Aurora princess doll (try to get the one with plastic bodice / clothing)
Serrated knife
Offset spatula
Spatula
Disposable piping bag
Open round piping tip (any size will do)
Scissors
Circle cookie cutter (approx 5cm / 2")
12" cake board
8" cake board
1 piece glitter pink scrapbooking paper
Non toxic craft glue
Ingredients:
Buttercream frosting (recipe link below)
Pink food colouring
White food colouring (if using vanilla cake - not required if using white cake)
Vanilla / white cake batter - I used 3 x batches of the cupcake addiction vanilla cake mix from my recipe book.
