Tools & Equipment:
Ariel Doll - make sure she is in a plastic bikini, not material clothing
Cake board (I iced mine blue - see tutorial on how to ice a board below)
Offset spatula
Sharp knife
Serrate knife (1 lark bread knife and one small knife)
Fondant rolling pin
Paintbrush
Scissors
Circle cookie cutter (2.5" / 6cm)
Small round piping tip (or you can use a small pen lid or similar)
Ingredients:
Buttercream frosting - 1 batch (recipe link below) 3/4 white and 1/4 blue
Crushed white / yellow cookie crumbs
Teal fondant
Green fondant
Caramel brown fondant
Cornflour (to dust your surface - you can also use icing sugar)
White shimmer powder - I didn't end up using mine but you can dust her tail with some dry shimmer (lustre dust) if you'd like her to have some shimmer / sparkle
Fondant Sea creatures (optional) - tutorial link below
Cake - I used a giant cupcake but you can also use a dolly garden tin to bake, or you can carve 2 x 6" round cakes to shape
