United Nations- After Hurricane Matthew slammed into Haiti earlier in October, the Caribbean country again found itself at the risk of a cholera spike. To prevent this from happening, the Haitians "are working energetically throughout the country," according to the UN Special Adviser Dr. David Nabarro. Speaking with the UN News Service recently, Dr. Nabarro highlighted the world body's new approach, aimed at improving hygiene and reducing disease risk in the long run.
