My name is John Phillips. We have horses, miniature horses. We have miniature llamas and alpacas, chickens, ducks. We have bearded dragons. Our website is www.squealsonwheels.us.What we really like about guinea pigs is that they have some amazing little noises, and you could really get to know your guinea pig very well if you understand the variety of noises that they make. One of them is what we call ""weeking,"" and ""weeking"" is a noise that they make when they are excited, when they see you coming forward with food, and it is a very high pitched little squeak. If they get upset, a guinea pig will actually grind their teeth and clack them together and that means that they are feeling vulnerable and a little bit threatened, so you may want to back off a little bit. They have a precious little cooing sound that the mothers will make when they're calling to their babies or when their babies are near them, and they are just napping. They will coo to the babies and it is very sweet. They make a rumbling/purring sound also, when they are happy or when they see one of their little friends or they are running around exercising. They make a lot of other noises. I do not think we have heard all of them, but that is what is fascinating about guinea pigs: there is always something more to learn about them.
