Betty's Dr. Pepper Chocolate Cake -- Christmas ☆

Betty demonstrates how to make Chocolate Dr. Pepper Cake. This is a cake that features the popular Dr. Pepper soda.
Ingredients:
1 ½ cups Dr. Pepper soda
½ cup vegetable oil
½ cup butter
4 tablespoons cocoa powder
2 cups sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 eggs
½ cup buttermilk
cooking oil spray
Heat Dr. Pepper, oil, butter, and cocoa powder in saucepan over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil. Remove from heat and set aside. In a medium-sized bowl, stir together sugar, flour, and baking soda and add to the mixture in the saucepan. Mix well and set aside. In a large bowl, lightly beat the eggs and buttermilk together, using low speed of an electric mixer. Add mixture from the saucepan to the egg/buttermilk mixture. Stir until batter is smooth. Pour batter into a 13-inch by 9-inch by 2-inch baking dish that has been sprayed with cooking oil spray. Bake at 350 degrees (F) for 20 to 25 minutes. When a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, the cake is done. Do not overcook the cake. Remove from oven and cool until just warm before coating with Creamy Chocolate Cake Frosting, which will the next video in Betty's Kitchen. I hope you love this cake!
