This Two Track episode features indie-pop artist Karissa Bone performing the songs “Easier,” co-written by Bone along with Elizabeth Marella, Willy Sinclair, Bri Joi; and the Tears for Fears song “Everybody Wants to Rule the World,” co-arranged by Bone with Dan Sagher.

Hailing from Saginaw, Michigan, indie-pop artist Karissa Bone makes music for golden-hour nostalgia. An ethereal vocalist and brutally honest lyricist, her songs are what you’d get if Bon Iver and Lorde got in a car crash with Olivia Rodrigo. In 2021, after releasing her debut single, “Maybe in the Summer,” she was chosen as a college creative of the year by Quadio x FADER magazine, landed her first sync placement, and joined Charlie Burg’s Blue Wave Band for shows throughout the Northeast. Having graduating from Berklee, she’s gearing up for her second release, “Easier,” (out this September) and relocating to Los Angeles, to write for herself and others.

Two Track is a music video series designed for Berklee’s YouTube and social media channels that features artists in an intimate setting with only one microphone and continuous camera takes. Each recording session will revolve around a single theme (i.e., connection, love, dreams) that can be expressed by the artist either through their track selection or through a short storytelling segment that will be recorded as part of the performance. The videos in this series will premiere at specific dates and times, but if you miss the premiere, each video will be public on the channel in continuity.
