Betty demonstrates how to make her Best Butterscotch Blondies. This is a great recipe to take to a potluck dinner or just for watching a sports event at home. It makes a lot, it's quick and easy, and the blondies are delicious!
Ingredients:
2/3 cup butter
2 ¼ cups brown sugar
3 eggs
2 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
2 ½ teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
6 ounces butterscotch chips
1 cup chopped pecans
Melt butter in saucepan over low heat. Cool for 10 minutes. Pour melted butter into large bowl. Stir in brown sugar and then beat with an electric mixer until smooth. Add eggs and beat until smooth. In a separate, medium-sized bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Beat into butter mixture. Stir in butterscotch chips and chopped pecans, stirring until completely mixed. Spread batter evenly into a greased 15-inch by 10-inch by 2-inch pan or glass baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees (F) for about 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into deepest part comes out clean. Cool blondies in pan. Cut into 2-inch by 2 1/2-inch bars and transfer to a nice serving plate. Yummy! I hope you enjoy these as much as my family does! Love, Betty ♥♥♥
